Brief Description: A small, but extremely popular fish shack located next to Fisherman’s Wharf, near Granville Island. The fresh and delectable seafood is worth the wait in the usually long line-up.

Summer is almost here! Sure, it is 3 months away but I am unrealistically optimistic when it comes to summer! Summer is, without a doubt, my favourite season and it brings with it leisurely days of camping, picnics, and cruising the seawall on our bikes whilst soaking in the sun. A fuel stop at Go Fish is usually on the cards but as those days are still awhile away, B and I are happy to bear the chill in the air to feast on Vancouver’s best fish and chips. Whilst at home the other day, the sun popped its welcomed face out and we saw that as a sign to get our butts down to Fisherman’s Wharf so that we scoff down some yumminess. Visiting during the off-season certainly has its perks. There was no line-up at all – unheard of when summer is in full-swing.

B ordered the Scallop Sandwich which was delectable with its smoky, juicy scallops and caramelized onions. I’m puzzled as to why I hadn’t tried this earlier but then I realized that it was because the menu was full of too much other good stuff.

I ordered the Tuna Wrap which tasted fresh and vibrant. It was full of organic greens, roasted red peppers, avocado and a balsamic vinaigrette. The only thing it wasn’t full of was tuna. I was really disappointed by the small amount of tuna that was given. I kept hunting through the wrap looking for more but to no avail. My search only managed to unearth a few measly little pieces of tuna which I really don’t think was worth the $11 price tag.

Final Thoughts: With the sandwich, the wrap and some fries to share, it cost us over $25 which really doesn’t make it a cheap lunch. I don’t have a problem paying that price for fresh seafood but I would have liked to have seen more tuna in the wrap. Then I think the price would have been justified. That said, Go Fish still gets the thumbs up in my book. Now I just need summer to get here so I can make it a regular stop.
